Sales - Account Executive

We are seeking a highly motivated person to join our team! The Account Executive is responsible for selling and executing equipment sales and AV projects for special events, new equipment sales, and installations.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning and organizing a sales strategy for development of revenue streams with new business contacts and customers
  • Providing excellent service to existing clients through continued communication to maintain and improve their relationship with the company
  • Proactively pursuing in-the-field sales calls and maintaining accurate and up-to-date call logs and prospect lists
  • Analyzing of client needs, quoting prices, preparing the contract and closing orders
  • Increasing market awareness and market share through client relationship building
  • Evaluating and reporting on lost sales activity
  • Communicating the rental equipment and services contracted to all TAVS departments to ensure all details of the event are covered
  • Coordinating outside contract services as required by event
Key Skills, Qualifications, and Knowledge

  • 3 years of previous sales and customer service in events, new equipment, rentals / leasing or comparable years in upwardly mobile positions
  • Extensive list of contacts
  • Vast knowledge of the respective local production markets (including vendors, hospitality, theme parks, studios, halls)
  • Familiarity with entertainment lighting, audio, video and other special event equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
  • Superior Customer Service skills to deal with both internal and external personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which drives revenue
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations and meet deadlines and goals
  • Strong PC skills including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Quickbooks and Internet.

This is a part-time position that offers a competitive commission / rate based on experience.

Production - Production Technician

Candidate’s minimum responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Work in a warehouse environment involving prep and de-prep for shows and rentals
• Work at indoor and outdoor show sites involving load-in, show run, and load-out
• Operate various industry standard equipment such as audio and lighting consoles, staging systems, intercom, lighting fixtures, and similar equipment
• Ability to take direction from a client, technical director, or producer and work as part of a team in a production situation
• Must possess technical, problem solving, and communication skills necessary in a dynamic, high pressure show environment
• Understand and troubleshoot single and three phase A/C power distribution systems, (shore power and generator)
• Operate and troubleshoot single and three phase motor hoist systems
• Operate personnel and equipment lifts such as Genie
• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, and fabricate XLR, DMX, multi-pin, Socapex, stage pin, NL4/NL8, Edison, Camlok and various other cable and connector types
• Work at elevated levels of 5 feet or higher using man lifts, ladders or catwalks
• Travel (including overnight stays) when required
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Position Qualifications:

• Minimum 1 year entertainment industry or theatrical experience
• Ability to produce and maintain a clean and valid driver’s license and meet company vehicle driving standards
• Lift a minimum of 75 pounds consistently
• Must be able to obtain a DOT medical card and a forklift operator certification
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbally and in writing
• Basic Windows computer skills including Microsoft Office; more specific skills with quickbooks will be necessary; training provided
• Due to the nature of this position, you must be able to work nights and weekends on short notice

Operations - Administrative Assistant

Candidate’s minimum responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
To lend administrative and clerical support to the Sales Director and Operations Manager, in all facets of office administration operations.

Provides administrative clerical assistance.
• Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
• Keeps inventory of office supplies, to include stationery, coffee, first-aid supplies, maintenance supplies; and purchases supplies with the approval of upper management.
• Assists in Accounts Payable, gathering bills, submitting for payment, and following-up as needed.
• Submit and coordinate expense reports.
• Assists with other duties as requested.
ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
• Reports to the Director of Sales and Operations Manager.
• Has ongoing contact with Operations Manager, personnel, vendors, callers and visitors on a daily basis.

Operations - Warehouse Assistant / Stagehand

Candidate must be a self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently and perform well under pressure.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Will work with Warehouse Manager to assist in the following tasks

  • Receiving materials into the warehouse; verify quantities received
  • Unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in the warehouse and store items in an orderly and accessible manner.
  • Cleaning and maintaining warehouse area.
  • Determining proper storage methods, identification and equipment location based on turnover.
    Conferring with management regarding equipment or stock procurement and availability.
  • Keeping records on damage of equipment. Reporting any damage to management.
  • Inspecting and receiving items from outside vendors
  • Distributing items to appropriate departments
  • Communicating with front office on shipping discrepancies
  • Responsible for outgoing shipments to clients
    Should be familiar, purchase orders and pull sheets obtaining shipping quotes
  • Must know how to properly pack a variety of shipments, small packages and LTL
    Assessing shipping supply needs usage
  • Manage shipping supplies being efficient and cost effective
  • Reads production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Reads work orders or receives oral instructions to determine work assignments and material and equipment needs
  • Uses computer / tablet to enter records and maintains inventory records
    Stages and sorts products for loading
  • Loads and unloads trailers
  • Operates forklifts, pallet jacks and a variety of warehouse mechanical equipment (where applicable)
  • Leads and complies with safety and well-being efforts on assigned shift
  • Opens and closes dock doors
  • Maintains a clean, safe and secure work area
  • Moves material within the warehouse
  • Quality control
  • Identifies damaged products when received
  • Completes daily logs
  • Communicates with associates from other departments
  • Assists in Installs
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous warehouse experience preferred.
  • Experience in entertainment lighting industry (product knowledge) preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED required; some college or formal technical training preferred.
  • Fluency in English with excellent spelling/writing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and basic mathematical skills.
  • Must be able to lift at least 75 lbs.
